Sunday Night Email - Lots of Info

Good Evening Everyone!

It was such a great week getting to see everyone back in the pool and getting to meet all of our new swimmers and divers! Everyone was ready to put in work right away which bodes well for another great season.

First off, please make sure you're getting in your orders for our team suits. If you need any financial-assistance, please reach out and the Booster Club will help with a scholarship. The store closes on Tuesday. Additionally, if you want any TR Swim Warrior Gear, the school store closes tomorrow night. Refer back to my previous email with a link to the store.

There are a few important dates to put on your calendars for this week. On Tuesday night there is an informational session put on by the athletics department at 6-6:25. They also reserved time for us to hold sports-related meetings, but since we've already done that I'll be present to chat with or to answer any questions you might have until 7. This is not mandatory, but the athletic department asked me to inform everyone.

Additionally we have our conference relay meet at Simley (The Grove) on Thursday. Due to the nature of this specific meet, and the limited entries, we will not be bringing every athlete. Those that attend will be entered into 1, 2, or 3 events. I'll talk more about specific events tomorrow and Tuesday. If an athlete is not competing at the meet, they are welcome to have the night off or join the team and cheer each other on! More info coming about when to be at the pool on Thursday to make sure you have transportation.

On another note, our wonderful captains met this weekend and came up with some plans for team bonding. They've organized the team into three different groups as a way to get to know each other better. They'll share more info with our athletes tomorrow. Planning is also underway to have a cookout on Friday at one of the captain's houses and a team hike at Dodge Nature Center during Labor Day weekend. Stay tuned for more info!

Finally, we're currently looking for some willing parents to run our timing system this year. I believe we would need a minimum of at least two that would be willing to run it for each of our home meets this season. Kirk Vogen has graciously offered to help train any interested parties on how it works!

Please keep emailing me regarding any planned or unplanned absences that might occur. Athletes have done a good job of telling me in-person, but it always helps me keep track better if I have it written in an email.

Thanks everyone! Go Warriors!

-Chris
