Off-Season Options

Off-season clubs can be a great way for athletes to continue progressing in the sport. Clubs provide additional opportunities for that progression!

Please note that there are a lot of sports and activities that a student may wish to do outside of Swim & Dive. This information does not intend to imply an off-season requirement. It is simply providing information for those who may be interested.

Diving Clubs

Please see Coach Arron for details on off-season diving club options, such as North Star Diving Club. Previous versions of this page had those details, but Coach Arron will be able to provide better information.

Swimming Clubs

Swimming on a club is like high school swimming. There are regular practices focusing on technique, speed, and endurance as well as meets. The seasons run from approximately December to March (winter season) and April to July (summer season). There are also a few differences:

• More events are offered: all high school events plus some others, e.g. 50s of Fly/Back/Breast and 100 IM
• No entry limits. That means anyone can swim any event regardless of how many athletes enter.
• Meets are optional, but encouraged. They also have meet fees of about $25-$40 per meet.
• Winter season championship meet “taper” is in February; summer season in July

MN Flyers

A great local option for all skill levels. MN Flyers is expanding their program right at the Aquatic Center!

• Location: Two Rivers Aquatic Center ⭐
• Appropriate For: Middle School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity athletes
• Practices: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 6:30 – 7:30/8:00 pm
• Cost: $450 for December 4 – March 15 season

Blackline Aquatics

Practices at St. Thomas Academy and the ISD 196 schools in Eagan, Apple Valley, and Rosemount.

• Practices: Monday – Saturday, various times
• Cost: $660 or $705 (depending on skill group) for December to March season

STAR Swim Team

A St. Paul based team that practices in St. Paul at Hamline University and Oxfood Pool

• Location: St. Paul - Hamline University & Oxford Pool
• Appropriate For: Varsity athletes
• Practices: Monday – Saturday, various times
• Cost: $650 for December to March season

Riptide Swim Team

A team which focuses on experienced swimmers. Practices are at Bluewater Aquatic Center in Apple Valley.

• Appropriate For: Varsity athletes
• Practices: Monday – Saturday, various times
• Cost: They do not publish their fees. They require that you contact them and setup a swim assessment.
